Chocolate Lava Cake


Recipe Makes: 4 lava cakes

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp coffee extract

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ cup flour

½ cup chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Oil up 4 ramekins.
  2. Place chocolate chips and butter into a bowl and melt/mix until completely smooth.
  3. Next add in the sugar, flour, cocoa powder and mix well. Then add in the eggs and coffee extract. Mix until combined, the batter should be thick.
  4. Spoon the batter into the oiled up ramekins and bake at 425 F for 12-14 minutes. The sides should be firm and the center slightly jiggly.
  5. Flip the ramekin oven and enjoy the lava cake with some ice cream or whipped cream.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
