Mushroom Pasta


Recipe Makes: 4-6 servings

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cups mushrooms; roughly chopped

1 lb pasta

2 garlic cloves, diced

½ cup Parmesan cheese

½ cup heavy cream

1 medium onion; diced

1 cup pasta water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cook pasta according to the package. Save 1 cup of the pasta water for later.
  2. Melt the butter and olive oil in a deep pan on medium heat. Once hot add in the mushrooms and onion. Sauté until the mushroom release their juices and the onion become golden. Then add in the diced garlic. Cook until the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Then add in the heavy cream, stir it in well. Let it come to a slight boil and then add in the cheese. Stir the cheese in so it can melt and then add in 1 cup of pasta water to dilute the sauce.
  4. Add pasta and fold it in. Serve with extra Parmesan cheese and enjoy!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
